Adler Dispute Solutions was founded under the belief that alternative dispute resolution can assist individuals and organizations in resolving conflicts. We believe this can help foster and preserve better relationships between parties. Our mission is to help empower individuals and organizations to resolve conflicts and disputes by providing quality, empathetic, and creative alternative dispute resolution services and training. We specialize in resolutions mediation to ensure conflicts are handled efficiently. We strive to be the leading alternative dispute resolution firm that delivers quality services and assists others in resolving their conflicts.
Jon Adler brings a wealth of professional experience to his role as a Chicago-based workplace conflict mediator, conflict resolution and negotiation skills trainer, and organizational ombudsman. Since 2007, Jon has represented hundreds of individuals and organizations in civil litigation and transactional matters related to business, corporate, employment, real estate, entertainment, and tort law. He has since transitioned his practice from legal services to alternative dispute resolution, focusing on how to mediate a conflict effectively. Throughout his professional career, Jon has worked for large and small organizations and has run a small business and technology startups as an entrepreneur.
Jon works as an ombudsman for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an organization within the Department of Defense that helps promote cooperation and understanding between Service members and their civilian employers. This includes mediating conflicts that fall under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA). He also works as a mediator with the Center for Conflict Resolution(CCR) in Chicago, and as an arbitrator with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), where he assists in resolving securities-related disputes.
Jon received International Mediation Institute-approved certification in Workplace Conflict Mediation and Conflict Resolution Training from the Mediation Training Institute at Eckerd College and acquired mediation skills training from Northwestern University. He also completed the Program on Negotiation: Negotiation and Dispute Resolution from Harvard Law School, received certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from HR University, and completed the International Ombuds Association’s Foundations Course. Jon graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Rutgers University and received a Juris Doctor degree from New England Law/Boston.
